Bathe large spaces in diffuse, full-spectrum light from top to bottom with flat or curved pre-engineered systems, bespoke custom designs or single-source clearspan™ systems. Our clearspan systems pair Kalwall translucent roof panels with lightweight aluminum sub-structure to achieve spans in excess of 100′ that are perfect for easy retrofits and future-proofed energy upgrades when replacing older daylighting systems or even covering an outdoor area to create a dynamic new space.

Kalwall skyroofs are modular and factory assembled, with fewer trades needed on site. The ability to adapt to many joint systems allows easy installation onto any type of construction. Diffuse Light TransmissionUnlike transparent glazing materials, Kalwall scatters visible light waves, providing even, diffuse daylighting to interior spaces no matter the position of the sun. Kalwall helps meets target daylight levels while transmitting lower percentages of visible light when compared to conventional vision glazing due to a process called lambertian diffusion. Lambertian diffusion means that light penetrates much deeper into interiors, reducing artificial light usage during the daytime and removing the need for costly light control measures such as shades, brise soleil and fritted glass.
Lightweight MaterialsStronger, lighter, more efficient. Our custom-engineered composite materials transcend the properties of their more basic counterparts, such as glass and polycarbonate or other lookalike FRP systems. Our standard Kalwall panels weigh < 2 lb/ft2 | 9.8 kg/m2. Typical glass is about three times this weight. Lightweight panels enable larger spans to reduce structural needs, lower overall installation cost and minimize time and manpower on site.
