Kalwall® Partners With Nigerian-Based Trikord
New Hampshire-based Kalwall Corporation proudly announces a partnership with Trikord Aluminum Company, Ltd., of Abia State, Nigeria. Trikord will also be working with Kalwall’s strategic partner, Structures Unlimited, Inc., of Bow, N.H.
Trikord, a subsidiary of the architectural consultancy Cosmo Base Consortium Ltd., is a single source for all roofing and cladding products for industrial, commercial and residential construction.
“We have been looking to expand our base in Africa and this was a great opportunity,” says Kalwall Principal Amelia Keller. “While we are well established in North America and Europe, partnering with Trikord and Cosmo Base creates a great connection to this region and we look forward to building on this partnership.”
Trikord was established by Cosmo Base to help fill a gap in Nigeria’s construction industry and further Cosmo Base’s goal of providing affordable housing. The company currently operates in the southern and eastern parts of Nigeria and is planning to expand operations outside of the country.
“Kalwall offers a unique product that we believe will do well in Nigeria and Africa as a whole,” says Trikord Managing Director Engr. Chimdi Ezem. “Kalwall and Structures Unlimited provide a product that is unmatched in the construction industry in Nigeria.”
Structures Unlimited, using Kalwall translucent sandwich panels, designs and produces box beam superstructures that include structural skylights, Skyroofs®, pool enclosures and canopies, to entire structures.
Trikord currently works with clients in the commercial and industrial sector, and have roofed public venues, such as indoor sports arenas and libraries. Trikord’s more high-profile projects include the roofing of the West African Examination Council Office in Yenagoa Bayelsa State, which was designed and built by Cosmo Base, as well as the roofing of school buildings in the Abia State Basic Education Board system.
